Nature of work: I’m just trying to “jump start” art as a whole. It seems we’ve come to a halt in art today. Every century had an art period that stood out. Where’s ours? I’m trying to create a style with no rules or limits. Just as the Harlem Renaissance liberated African Americans of the 1920’s I want my art to liberate not just racial but all rules that enslave us. Art is about expression and making a difference. It is our responsibility as artists to document the times of the past, but most important the times that define us.
