To me, a photograph allows the viewer to see life in a different perspective. In most of my photographs you will find the influences of Eugene W. Smith, Ryann Ford, and Matt Rainwaters, although a majority of my work is heavily influenced by Ansel Adams. In addition to capturing moments in nature my photos also focus on light and shadow. I love adding contrast to my photos and up until very recently I mostly photographed in black and white. I love experimenting with different camera techniques as well as darkroom techniques to add more character and uniqueness to my work. I strive to capture something in nature that is awe-inspiring and hopefully my photographs cause the viewer to really appreciate the uniqueness and mysteries of the world around us.
