I assume whoever reading this is at least somewhat an art lover. Everyone has a specific reason to appreciate art. Some see it as an appealing eye candy; some think of it as an impressive topic to talk about; some feel soothing when being around and in it; and some might simply take it as a time-killing device. For me, art is such an irresistible love because it’s an unknown. It is meant to be personal, subjective, and unique in every artist’s point of view. There might be certain guidelines and techniques to learn and follow, but there is hardly right or wrong, and absolutely no rules. The freedom in making, seeing, and thinking about art is something I found extremely amusing. Art is also a mean to understand and hence to express myself. It is the best method of storytelling. Through art I make a parade of my joy, and overcome my fear & sadness. In the process of making art I recognize my very own interpretation of beauty, and will continue to explore. ‘What is art?’ is like the everlasting controversial question ‘What comes first? Egg or chicken?’ I am not looking for an answer, as not having a model answer is exactly why art is so alluring and fascinating. My art is not to change other’s definition of art, but to convince and convey mine.
